Reading: MWF Seeking BFF. Except I've spent so many years looking at class schedules I automatically think "Monday Wednesday Friday" instead of "Married White Female." Other than that, it's a really cute book.

Watching: New Girl. Because I definitely need another show to watch. But I love it. And now I kind of have a girl crush on Zooey Deschanel. (You know that scene in Notting Hill when Honey meets Anna Scott and goes on and on about how they could be best friends? I could be that blithering idiot.)

Making: A quilt for my cousin out of his old high school T-shirts. All the pieces are cut and I've decided how I'm going to lay it out, so now I just have to get sewing. This thing is going to be huge.

I Was Going to Blog Last Night But Instead I Cleaned My Bathroom

I am not even making that up. My bathroom has never been this clean.

Which is code for "last night I was freaking out and stress cleaned."

Class registration starts today. And I still don't have a major.

Which is kind of okay, because I do have a few gen ed requirements to fill. But I want to get 2 or 3 of those done this summer. Which leaves me grasping for straws this fall. Here's hoping that when I see my adviser tomorrow, he has many words of wisdom.

I totally should have bought that "Keep Calm & Carry On" poster at Target...

P.S. In addition to making my bathroom shine, I also changed my sheets and sorted laundry, which is going right now. I would have vacuumed, but the neighbors don't enjoy when I run loud appliances at 11pm. I am woman, hear me roar.

P.P.S. I did all that without coffee.

Sometimes I Pretend I Cook

You know that commercial with Kelly Ripa? The one where they make a big deal about how the stove boils water in 90 seconds? I mock it pretty much every time I see it. But I am sitting here waiting for my water to boil so I can make ramen noodles, because that is essentially the only food resembling a meal I have in the apartment, and it's been at least 3 minutes and the water is not boiling. I can't decide if this is because my stove sucks or electric stoves in general suck. Either way, it took less time to actually cook the noodles than it did to boil the water. And despite the fact that I have grown up in a generation without patience...er, whatever. When I'm hungry, I'm hungry.

So just because I'm curious, do you prefer gas or electric stoves? I cannot be the only one who notices a difference.
